Pharmacy (33.02.01) in the system of secondary vocational education (SVE) is focused on the training of specialists who are engaged in the selection, dispensing and control of medical drugs and medical products. Training includes practical skills of working with medicines, their preparation and dispensing. Graduates have knowledge of medications, their interactions and side effects, and are able to counsel patients on the proper intake of medications. Students master wholesale and retail trade of medicines and release of medicines for medical and veterinary use; manufacturing of medicines in pharmacy organizations and veterinary pharmacy organizations. Passing along with profile disciplines such subject as “Fundamentals of microbiology and immunology” students of this direction are integrated into the medical environment, which allows them to “speak the same language” with doctors. Studying the discipline “Fundamentals of Pharmaceutical Ecology” is necessary to solve professional problems to protect the environment from the adverse effects of chemical-pharmaceutical enterprises.
