The residency program aims to train a neurologist with clinical reasoning and skills in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases of the central and peripheral nervous system. The program covers a broad spectrum of neurologic nosologies, including vascular, degenerative, autoimmune, and hereditary diseases. Key areas of training include: performing differential diagnosis using MRI, CT, EEG, EMG and medical genetic techniques; development of an individualized plan of examination and treatment; participation in dynamic monitoring and rehabilitation of patients; Conducting clinical discussions, consiliums, keeping medical records and participating in scientific work. The training includes active participation in interdisciplinary rounds, preparation of publications, presentations at scientific conferences and the possibility of inclusion in research projects.

What will I study?
Training on the residency programme is carried out during 2 years and provides the following blocks:Compulsory disciplines: neurology, pedagogy, public health and health care, emergency medicine, pathology, oncological alertness, communication skills, emergency care; During the entire period of training residents supervise patients with diseases of the central and peripheral nervous system. In the first year, they improve skills in patient interviewing, neurological and neuroorthopaedic examination, interpretation of laboratory and instrumental diagnostic methods. Issues of topical and clinical diagnosis are updated. The mastering of issues of private neurology begins. The second year residents continue the study of nosologies and patient management. The programme includes a cycle on Otoneurology.
