higher education programme full-time 4 year

3.3.2 Pathological anatomy

1. Recognition and characterization of etiological factors determining the occurrence and development of specific diseases (nosological forms) on the basis of lifetime and postmortem pathological and anatomical studies of cells, tissues, organs and organism using modern methodological and technological capabilities of morphology in combination with molecular biology, molecular genetics and epigenetics. 2. Scientific analysis of pathological processes underlying disease, lifetime diagnosis and prognostic assessment of diseases based on studies of biopsy materials. 3. study of structural, molecular-cellular and molecular-genetic mechanisms of disease development as a whole and their individual manifestations (symptoms, syndromes), creation of bases for personalized pathogenetic therapy and prophylaxis. 4. study of morpho- and thanatogenesis of diseases, the role of various organ and tissue systems in the formation of the main disease (multi-organ pathology) and its outcomes. 5. Improvement of clinical and morphological classifications of diseases with their symptoms and syndromes determined by the specificity of etiologic factors. Development of the theory of diagnosis. 6. Development and improvement of theoretical, methodological and organizational principles of lifetime and postmortem pathological anatomical research from the perspective of public health and medical practice demands.
