3.2.2 Epidemiology

1. Formation and development of epidemiology as a fundamental medical science. 2 Study of general regularities and regional features of the emergence and spread of infectious and parasitic morbidity of the population (epidemic process) to identify the causes, conditions and mechanisms of its formation. 3. Study of general regularities and regional peculiarities of formation of morbidity of the population with non-infectious diseases to identify the causes, conditions and mechanisms of its formation. 4. Improving the methodology of epidemiologic research to increase the level of evidence of epidemiologic conclusions, including in clinical practice (clinical epidemiology). 5. Development and improvement of systems of epidemiologic surveillance and socio-hygienic monitoring, pre epidemic diagnostics for effective management of morbidity and preservation of public health. 6. Development of new and improvement of prophylactic, anti-epidemic means and measures, as well as new organizational forms of disease management to reduce the loss of public health. 7. Development and improvement of the system of preventive and anti-epidemic measures for sanitary protection of the territories of the Russian Federation. 8. Development and improvement of the system of anti-epidemic measures in emergency situations. 9. Studying the regularities of the formation of morbidity of personnel of the Armed Forces, other troops and military formations in special conditions of life activity for the development and improvement of measures for its prevention and elimination (military epidemiology).
