3.1.22 Infectious diseases
1. Study of properties of pathogens and their interaction with the human body, immunologic, pathomorphologic, biochemical, pathophysiologic changes in the body during the disease, treatment and development of postinfection immunity. 2. Clinical manifestations of the infectious process, damage and dysfunction of various organs and systems, features of the course of the disease in all age groups, in different environmental conditions and in combination with other diseases. Prediction of the course of infectious disease and its outcomes. 3. Diagnosis of infectious diseases using clinical, microbiological, genetic, immunological, biochemical, instrumental and other methods of research, differential diagnosis with other diseases of infectious and non-infectious nature. 4. Treatment of infectious diseases: etiotropic, pathogenetic, gene therapy, immunotherapy, nutrition therapy, physiotherapy, sanatorium-resort treatment, therapy of disease consequences and rehabilitation. 5. Specific and nonspecific prevention of infectious diseases. 6. Study of the prevalence and peculiarities of the course of infectious diseases, including those associated with climate change, improvement of technologies for their prevention and treatment in the indigenous and native population in the Far North and equated areas. 7. Dispensary dynamic observation and expert assessment of health status after acute infectious disease or chronic infectious disease.
