1. Study of biosynthesis, secretion, transport, metabolism of hormones and mechanisms of hormone interaction. Development of methods for determining the content of hormones and their activity. 2. Development of theoretical foundations and practical applications of the study of mechanisms of endocrine regulation and coordination of the main processes of vital activity. Investigation of the principles of functioning of the endocrine system and the action of hormones in the norm and in various pathological conditions. 3. Study of cytogenetics aspects of endocrine diseases: identification of hormone genes, hormone receptor genes and genes of other molecules, identification of genetic defects causing the development of endocrine diseases. Identification of molecular genetic markers of predisposition, development of methods of prognosis and early diagnosis of endocrine diseases, justification of personalized approach in therapy. 4.
