3.1.11 Pediatric surgery

1. Research on the etiology, pathogenesis and prevalence of congenital and acquired surgical diseases and traumas of childhood (starting from antenatal) and adolescence; 2. Research in the following areas: general, purulent and emergency surgery, orthopedics-traumatology, surgical gastroenterology, urology, coloproctology, thoracic surgery, neurosurgery, treatment of benign tumors, vascular malformations, disaster medicine. 3. Development and improvement of methods of early diagnosis and prevention of malformations, surgical diseases, traumas and their consequences in children. 4. Experimental and clinical development of methods and technologies of treatment of surgical diseases of children's age, introduction of the obtained data into clinical practice, improvement of the organization of surgical care for children. 5. Development of methods of dispensary, rehabilitation, programs of stage treatment of malformations and surgical diseases in children (consequences of birth and other traumas, malformations and diseases), development of complex programs of continuity of disease treatment with specialists involved in the treatment of adults.
