1. Research on the study of etiology, pathogenesis, prevalence of neurosurgical pathology (traumas of the brain and spinal cord, peripheral nerves; tumors of the central and peripheral nervous system; neurosurgical pathology of vessels of the brain and spinal cord, brachycephalic arteries; inflammatory processes, hydrocephalus, malformations of the brain and spinal cord, epilepsy, pain syndromes, parkinsonism, dyskinesias). 2. Development and improvement of methods of diagnostics, prevention of neurosurgical diseases and injuries of the brain, spinal cord and peripheral nervous system, consequences and complications of neurotraumas, as well as methods of surgical rehabilitation requiring surgical intervention. 3. theoretical, experimental and clinical development of methods and technologies of treatment of neurosurgical diseases and injuries, their introduction into clinical practice. 4. Development of methods of dispenserization, prevention and rehabilitation of neurosurgical diseases (neuro-oncological, neurovascular, neurotraumatological, hydrocephalus, epilepsy, inflammatory diseases, etc. requiring surgical intervention).
