32.08.12 Epidemiology

The residency is aimed at training a physician-epidemiologist capable of analyzing epidemiological processes, identifying and localizing foci of infectious diseases. The program includes in-depth study of epidemiology, microbiology, vaccine prophylaxis and organization of anti-epidemic measures. Key areas of training include: monitoring of morbidity, analyzing epidemic situations and developing response tactics; participation in laboratory diagnostics and epidemiologic investigations; planning and implementation of preventive and sanitary measures; use of modern information systems of epidemiologic surveillance.
