31.08.51 Phthisiology
The residency is aimed at training a TB physician with competencies in the prevention, detection and treatment of tuberculosis of various localizations. The program covers all aspects of specialized care for patients with tuberculosis and at-risk groups. Key areas of training include: conducting fluorographic, microbiologic, molecular genetic and immunologic screening; prescribing anti-tuberculosis therapy taking into account sensitivity of the causative agent and concomitant diseases; organization of dispensary observation and control over compliance with the treatment regimen; participation in sanitary-educational and preventive work, medical and social rehabilitation of patients.
