The residency is aimed at training an infectious disease physician with competencies in diagnosis, treatment, prevention and organization of medical care in infectious diseases. The program covers all aspects of the infectious process, including acute and chronic forms, particularly dangerous infections, HIV infection, parasitic and viral diseases. Key areas of training include: - Performing diagnostics using bacteriologic, serologic and PCR methods; - provision of specialized and emergency care, participation in emergency situations; - medical expertise, dispensary, participation in infection control and epidemiological surveillance.
