31.08.29 Hematology

The residency is aimed at training a hematologist with competencies in providing specialized care to patients with diseases of the blood and hematopoietic system. The program provides for mastering modern methods of diagnosis, interpretation of hematological parameters, conducting pathogenetically based therapy and participation in medical rehabilitation. Key areas of training include: - management of patients with anemias, hemoblastoses, coagulopathies; - interpretation of morphologic, cytochemical, immunologic, and molecular genetic analyses; - administering course therapy, monitoring side effects, and participating in transplantation protocols.
