31.08.21 Psychiatry narcology
The residency is aimed at training a narcologist with competence in providing medical care to patients with various forms of addiction - alcohol, drug, medication, behavioral, as well as comorbid psychiatric and somatic pathology. The program covers the formation of theoretical knowledge and practical skills to organize and conduct comprehensive drug treatment, including detoxification, psychopharmacotherapy, motivational counseling and rehabilitation. Key areas of training include: Diagnosis of addictions: conducting specialized interviews, questionnaires and tests to identify the severity and stage of addiction, concomitant mental and behavioral disorders. Treatment: implementation of individual and group treatment programs, prescription of medications (antipsychotics, anxiolytics, antidepressants, substitution therapy), support during withdrawal and post-abstinence therapy. Rehabilitation: participation in the development and implementation of medical and social rehabilitation programs, relapse prevention, cooperation with psychotherapists, social workers and specialists in addictive behavior. Prevention work: formation of anti-drug motivation, work with adolescents and risk groups, counseling of patients' families. Interagency cooperation: participation in interdisciplinary support programs, preparation of medical and expert documentation, compliance with legal norms in relation to patients with addictions.
