The residency program is aimed at training a specialist in psychiatry with competencies necessary for diagnosis, treatment, prevention and medical rehabilitation of patients with mental disorders, including acute, chronic and comorbid conditions. The program includes mastery of modern psychodiagnostic methods, principles of psychopharmacotherapy, psychotherapeutic approaches and legal foundations of psychiatric care. Key areas of training include: Psychopathology and diagnosis: identification and classification of mental disorders using international standards (ICD-10, DSM), conducting clinical interviews, psychometric and neuropsychological tests. Treatment: prescribing psychopharmacotherapy, participation in psychotherapeutic interventions, management of patients with resistant, recurrent and socially significant forms of mental disorders. Emergency care: providing care for acute psychotic states, suicidal risks, behavioral crises; participation in ambulance and emergency psychiatric teams. Prevention and rehabilitation: organization of measures to support patients in remission, relapse prevention, social adaptation and re-socialization, taking into account cognitive and behavioral disorders. Legal and ethical aspects: observance of deontological norms, rights of patients with mental disorders, documentation for examination and involuntary hospitalization.
