31.08.19 Pediatrics

The residency is aimed at training a qualified pediatrician with universal and professional competencies necessary to provide medical care to children of all age groups in primary, specialized (including high-tech), emergency and palliative care. The program provides the formation of basic and fundamental knowledge of anatomo-physiological features of childhood, clinical thinking and interdisciplinary approach to the management of patients with various somatic pathologies. Key areas of training include: Prevention and dispensary: organization of preventive examinations, assessment of physical and psycho-emotional development, vaccination, formation of commitment to a healthy lifestyle in the child and family. Diagnosis: clinical assessment of the child's condition using modern laboratory and instrumental methods, including ultrasound, ECG, functional tests, participation in the diagnosis of rare and hereditary diseases. Treatment: providing outpatient and inpatient care for infectious, non-infectious, acute and chronic diseases; participation in the management of patients with combined pathology. Emergency care: diagnosis and management of life-threatening conditions, emergency care for acute infections, trauma, allergic reactions, dehydration, etc., as well as the management of patients with co-morbidities. Rehabilitation and supervision: participation in the formation of stage programs of medical rehabilitation, monitoring compliance with recommendations, organization of interdisciplinary support for the child and family.
