31.08.16 Pediatric surgery
The residency program is aimed at training a specialist in pediatric surgery who possesses professional competencies necessary for diagnosis, treatment and prevention of congenital and acquired surgical diseases in children, from the period of newborn to adolescence. The program provides for the formation of clinical thinking, mastery of age-specific anatomo-physiological features, as well as mastery of modern methods of imaging and surgical intervention, taking into account the principles of minimal invasion and functional organ-preserving surgery. Key areas of training include: Diagnosis of surgical pathology: use of modern imaging techniques - radiography, ultrasound, computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging - to identify acute and chronic conditions requiring surgical intervention. Planned and emergency surgery: performing emergency and planned operations of varying degrees of complexity, participation in emergency care of children with trauma, congenital malformations, inflammatory diseases and tumors. Prevention of complications: organization of dispensary observation, rehabilitation after surgical interventions, development of programs to prevent recurrences and developmental disorders. Work in a multidisciplinary team: interaction with pediatricians, anesthesiologists-resuscitators, neonatologists, pediatric urologists, neurosurgeons, which provides continuity and a comprehensive approach to treatment. Technological training: mastering modern surgical technologies, including laparoscopic and robotic techniques, participation in the implementation of high-tech medical care.
