31.08.10 Forensic medical examination
The residency is aimed at training a qualified doctor of forensic medical expert, possessing universal, professional and specialized competencies necessary to conduct forensic medical research and expertise in the framework of law enforcement and expert activity. The program is focused on the formation of a specialist's readiness for independent professional work in the conditions of expert institutions, at the intersection of medicine and jurisprudence, in compliance with regulatory and legal requirements and professional ethics. Key areas of training include: Expert activity: conducting forensic autopsies, establishing the causes of death, determining the severity of bodily injuries, age of bodily injuries, diagnosis of sexual inviolability, assessment of health damage. Microscopic and laboratory research: performance of histological, cytological, toxicological, biochemical, molecular-genetic and other analyses within the framework of forensic medical examination. Forensic documentation: execution of expert reports in accordance with procedural norms, participation in court proceedings as a specialist or expert. Professional standards: compliance with legal and ethical norms concerning interaction with law enforcement agencies, prosecutor's offices, courts, investigative structures. Scientific and methodological activities: participation in the development and implementation of new methods of expert research, holding expert conferences and interdisciplinary consultations, participation in training and professional development of specialists.
