The residency program is aimed at training a radiologist with competence in diagnosing diseases and pathological conditions of various organs and systems using radiation imaging methods, as well as in the use of radioactive substances for therapeutic purposes. The program provides comprehensive mastery of modern technologies based on the physical phenomena of gamma radiation, X-rays, positron emission tomography (PET) and nuclear magnetic resonance (MRI), with emphasis on radiation safety and clinical interpretation of the obtained data. Key areas of training include: Diagnostic activities: performing and interpreting radiation studies (radiography, computed tomography, PET, MRI, scintigraphy) using clinical algorithms and diagnostic protocols. Therapeutic use of radionuclides: participation in radionuclide therapy, selection and control of doses of radioactive substances, performance of procedures for treatment of malignant neoplasms and other conditions as prescribed. Ensuring radiation safety: compliance with norms and standards for the protection of patients, medical personnel and the environment when working with ionizing radiation and radiopharmaceuticals. Interdisciplinary interaction: participation in complex diagnostics of diseases as part of a multidisciplinary team, ensuring correlation of imaging data with clinical, laboratory and morphological parameters. Scientific and methodological work: introduction of new technologies and approaches in the field of medical imaging, participation in clinical reviews and formation of standards of radiology diagnostics.
